Briana grew up in the windy mountains of Tilaran, Costa Rica. When she was 18 years old, she had the privilege of attending a prestigious fashion school [Universidad Creativa De Costa Rica] in San José, the capital of her home country. At the age of 18, she was studying and working as a wardrobe assistant in Teletica Formatos – one of her country's main national television channels – for live and prerecorded television shows. By the time she finished at university, Briana had earned a reputation for using high-quality products, a strong work ethic and reliability. Therefore, she was able to build a strong network while still very young in the industry. During this time, Briana gained the experience necessary to secure her position as a freelance fashion designer later on. After graduating with a degree in Fashion Design, she began her second career as a makeup artist, which enabled her to contribute more knowledge to the fashion industry.
Briana’s strengths lie at the intersection of fashion, design, makeup, and marketing. Without the baggage of a rigid perspective of how things ought to be, each of her projects incorporates a blend of disciplines to transform her clients’ dreams into reality. This versatility has advanced her work in advertising campaigns, fashion editorials, television series, back-stages, and several other settings. Briana has contributed to several high-profile projects, such as the wardrobe department at Cirque du Solei, backstage wardrobing for Justin Bieber’s Costa Rican Tour, and backstage assistance in the Mercedes Benz Fashion Show, etc.
After working as a freelance fashion designer for some time, Briana moved to the United States where she is currently perfecting her English and growing both professionally and personally.
She studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City as a student in the Omnichannel Retail Management Program. Her goal is to build a career in America that showcases her passion and motivates others to pursue their own goals as well. Briana believes that no matter how big one’s dream might be, the most important thing is to live in a way to accomplish it.
"
